Hi, my name is Vickie Sloderbeck and I’ve been married to my high-school sweetheart and best friend Jim for thirty two years. I've thoroughly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and homeworker for 29 years. Our family has been blessed with five terrific children, ages 29, 25, 24, 12 and 10, and the next generation of Sloderbecks already includes four active grandsons.

Spending time with my family is something I thoroughly enjoy, but my favorite thing to do is to go places with my husband.

I’ve been a homeschooling mom for eighteen years. Teaching my children has been something I’ve loved doing with them, and for them. It has drawn me closer to each of my children, as well as keeping them in close relationship with one another. Sharing my time and love of books with them has blessed my life, and theirs, beyond measure.

As a biblioholic, I love acquiring wonderful books for myself and our family library. When I’m not involved in teaching and writing, I love reading wonderful books out loud to my children as well as curling up with a favorite book of my own.

If you asked me, “What do you love to do for fun?” I’d have to tell you "traveling"—something I never thought I’d care much about. But in 2000, we bought a “baby motorhome” (a 21-foot Chinook to be exact) and discovered the love of traveling the back roads of America. You see, when you have small children, and you have your own potty and refrigerator, you feel free to go just about anywhere—especially venturing off the interstates! There’s a beautiful country to be explored. We’ve taken our youngest two to 34 of the lower 48 states, and with six years left to go before one of them leaves the nest, we hope to go out west and get the remaining 14 states.

One of my new passions in life is teaching wives how to celebrate their sexuality in Christian marriage. Sex is the perfect wedding gift God gives to married couples. Discovering what His Word and other Christian authors have to say about sex in marriage is fascinating, enlightening, and freeing.
