Memory Verses for Class (Week 1 A.I.T.I.)

memory verses Memory Verses for Class (Week 1 A.I.T.I.)As the leader, you may desire to pick one version of the Bible you and your students are most familiar and comfortable with.

As stated in your guide, different versions are used throughout this study to help students look at scriptural passages with “fresh eyes.”

One leader I know reads each week’s memory verse directly from the Bible at the end of class. She said that by doing this, it added a sense of reverence to this part of the study.

Another leader has everyone repeat the Bible verse out loud together near the end of class.

One final suggestion comes from a leader that encouraged her students to put the memory verse at the top of their journaling page for each week.

Some students will say that the different translations are difficult to memorize because they already have another version memorized. I always tell my students that that is just fine. Write whichever version you wish and then go on to explain that I simply did this to get everyone to slow down long enough to really focus on what God’s Word may be saying to each of them for that week.
